Outstanding 20-page complete newspaper with bold, full caps headline on the back page: "Dodgers sign Negro player." Inside story details Branch Rickey's signing of Robinson to a minor league contract with the Dodgers, a move that would eventually break the color barrier in Major League Baseball. Front page headline details a 1,000-man airline strike, while photo under the Robinson headline on the back page illustrates an odd story about a stolen dog.
