Description:"Piece of chair attributed to Madison Square Garden III & 1968 ticket stub from final N.Y. Rangers game there (PR-VG). Highly interesting 14""x2.5""x1"" wooden chair slat attributed to the Old Garden (Madison Square Garden III), which opened at 49th Street and Eighth Avenue in New York City on Dec. 15, 1925. The inscription ""Madison Square Garden 12/15/25 to 2/11/68"" has been carved into the face of the board, and a ticket stub from the Rangers' final game at the Old Garden on Feb. 11, 1968 has been nailed and glued to the left edge. The game ended in a 3-3 tie against the Detroit Red Wings, and demolition of the Old Garden commenced in the summer of 1968. Ticket stub has numerous condition issues, including creasing and tears but remains readable with good eye appeal: PR. Board shows numerous nicks and scratches and two pieces are broken off on the back: VG. "
