Description: c.1940s St. Louis Brown stirrup socks with letter from Zack Taylor and signed ball (EX) Pair of brown stirrip socks with orange accent stripes include a handwritten letter of provenance from former Manager Zack Taylor dated 1968. It was written to a collector whom Taylor sent the socks. They show use/wear and each has a number embroidered (neither number - 31 or 40) was worn by Taylor but it is not to big a stretch to imagine that stirrup socks where of a uniform size and would be handed to anyone who needed. Also includes a worn J.Cronin OAL ball which has been signed by Taylor and inscribed with the years he Managed St. Louis. Ball is also signed by Ned Garver: EXFinal Bid: $242.00
