Description: Original 1934 "Shoeless Joe Jackson" fan letter mailing envelope with secretarial signature (EX) February 12, 1934 postmarked envelope was addressed to "Shoeless Joe Jackson, Greenville South Carolina" and no doubt contained a letter from a fan (given the clear baseball reference in referring to him as Shoeless). On the upper left corner is a "Joe Jackson" signature which was done in the period however as is the case with nearly all Jackson "autographs" that exist this one was signed on his behalf by an unidentified helper. Touch of light toning and wear. Includes a number of pieces of mail which are addressed to a Greenville South Carolina resident (Hiram Duncan) who was a letter carrier in the area at that time and it has been relayed that he obtained the "signed" piece in his travels: EX ($500-$1,000)Final Bid: $165.00
