Description: Vintage Shea Stadium Mets ticket takers' box - likely used at the Polo Grounds (EX) Free standing metal ticket takers' box was likely used at the Polo Grounds and then shifted to the newly opened Shea Stadium when the Mets made their move in 1964. The piece stands 28" tall with 10"x10" footprint and has a pair of slots in the top through which removed section of tickets would be deposited. The latch on front appears to have been replaced and the original leather handle strap is in place but broken. General use and storage wear throughout.
