Description: Don Heffner scrapbook including (5) Ed Barrow letters, photography, and other pieces (Overall EX) Oversized vintage scrapbook (12.75""x20.25"") has the name ""Don Heffner"" on front inside a small applied baseball shaped piece of leather. The bound edge reads ""1927 - Vol. 1."" The interior is filled with career related pieces with highlights including: c.1927 Polytechnic high school team photo; late 1920s photo of Heffner with Ty Cobb; 1929 Western Union telegram from George Weiss; piece of what appears to be original artwork of Heffner; a number of additional photos of Heffner (and others) from throughout his career); typewritten Yankees team issued sheet of player addressed (with DiMaggio and Gehrig); (5) Ed Barrow autographed letters to Heffner on Yankees stationary regarding his contracts; 1935 World Series share related paperwork from the Comissioner's office; 1936 World Series program; 1934 Yankees and Braves Spring Training Roster; 1940 St. Louis Brown Spring Training Roster; 1942 Browns season pass issued to Mrs. Heffner; and a large number of newspaper/publication page clippings. All pieces are firmly affixed inside the book and there have been a few pages removed. Also includes (12) oversized photographs which are not mounted including 1941 Browns team photo, image of the Browns in locker room celebration, and undated Cincinatti Reds team photo.
