Description: 1970 Thurman Munson "American League Rookie of the Year Varsity K Alumni" trophy (EX with note to description) Two handled loving cup style trophy with figural brass player finial presented to Thurman Munson by the Kent State Alumni association as the American League Rookie of the Year. 16" tall with inscribed brass placard on the base. Missing the bat and there was repair work done to the figural batter. Originally offered as lot (72) in the 2008 Thurman Munson Collection auction however the Diana Munson letter of provenance has been misplaced: EX with note to description ($500-$1,000)Final Bid: $276.00
