Description: Pop Kelchner (d.1958) autographed baseball - perhaps the most prolific and noted scout of All-Time (Overall EX) Grady brand "Official League Ball" has been signed on the side panel, "C.S. Pop Kelchner, Scout St. Louis Cards, 1909-1944." Fountain pen signature rates 8 out of 10 as does an additional on the opposite panel from a fellow scout whom can not be definitively identified (appears to read Roy Dessinger). Ball displays mild toning. Kelchner is believed to be the most prolific scout in history having signed (86) players including Joe Medwick, Chief Bender, Jake Daubert, Rabbit Maranville, Danny Murtaugh, Stan Musial, Hack Wilson, and Jim Thorpe: Overall EXFinal Bid: $366.00
