Description: Ted Williams attributed c.1950s Boston Red Sox professional model jacket from the collection of noted author Bill Nowlin (EX) Heavy woolen cold weather jacket is done in classic Red Sox blue with team logo patch on front chest and red, white, and blue trim. There is a "Tim McAuliffe" tag inside the right pocket which has "Williams" and the number "9" written on in vintage ink. Size (48) tag is in left pocket. Written inside, also in vintage marker, is "S.T.W." The jacket remains well preserved with expected usage wear evident throughout. It is consigned to us directly by noted author Bill Nowlin whom has written nearly (20) books about the Red Sox and Red Sox players, edited others, and serves as a Vice President of SABR. He has communicated that he has had it for around (20) years but not recall it's exact origins. It is tagged properly for a period Red Sox jacket and is the same size as others which have been offered as being worn by Williams: EX ($3,000-$5,000)Final Bid: $3,520.00
