Description: Brooklyn Excelsior Baseball Club ribbon c.1870s (EX-EX/MT) One of the most noted early professional teams the Brooklyn Excelsiors counted among their ranks some of baseball's brightest stars including Jim Creighton, Asa Brainard, and Hall of Famer Candy Cummings. Ssilk ribbon measuring approx. 3"x7.5" has the "Excelsior" team name arched above an illustration of period equipment.
