Description: The Sports and Pastimes of the People of England - lot of (2) c.1801 engravings showing bat/ball games (EX/MT) Choice pair of pages from the important work by Joseph Strutt display some of the earliest engravings of some of the games which laid groundwork for baseball as played today. These are titled "Games with the ball" and "Bat and ball."
