Description: Nice lot of asst. c.1920s-40s material from the Max Carey estate incl. presentational clock, business card, and others (GD-EX/MT) ($300-$500) Includes Gotham brand travel clock which is in red faux leather hinged case that has "Contestant 1942 Professional Ball Players National Golf Tournament Miami Country Club" lettered on top; 1921 mimeographed (3) paged letter concerning distribution of the Pittsburgh Pirates World Series shares; small leather drawstring pouch showing heavy use/wear which has partially faded "Max G Carey Pittsburgh BB Club" notation written on; 1925 date Carey signed personal check; 1930s "Max Carey, Manager, Brooklyn National League Baseball Club" business card; a circular medallion (with side flanges - purpose unknown) which is lettered "Dodgers" across the front; "Brooklyn Bsaeball Club" keychain; c.1970s postcard showing Carey in Dodgers uniform which he has made a handwritten of "Mgr. Brooklyn 32-33" on the bottom of; 1931 dated typed letter to Carey from "M.L. Benedum" of Pittsburgh PA offer congratulations on being appointed Dodgers Manager; and 1939 postmarked envelope addressed to his wife and containing correspondence (not from or signed by Carey).
