Description: 1950 Richie Ashburn handwritten letter (and original mailing envelope) with choice content (EX-EX/MT) Desirable handwritten letter signed, "Sincerely, Rich Ashburn" reads in part: "Am sorry about not answering sooner - this baseball is keeping me pretty much on the go. About the tickets Jim, all you have to do is let me know the night you want to come (or day) and I'll leave two tickets for you at the Pass gate here at Shibe Park..." Included mailing envelope is postmarked September 13, 1950 and the team would play only a handful of regular season games at home before advancing to that year's World Series. Letter has general age/other toning throughout along with fold lines from mailing and some light wear (as does envelope). Fountain pen handwriting and signature rate 8 out of 10: EX-EX/MT ($400-$600)
