Description: 1930s Baseball scrapbook with (16) 1933 Goudey cards on the inside cover incl. Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, and (3) other Hall of Famers (Book EX/MT overall) Attractive period scrapbook (11"x12.5") with Philadelphia Athletics player portraits decorating the outside front cover. The original owner affixed (16) 1933 Goudey baseball cards to the inside of the front cover which include Babe Ruth. Lou Gehrig, Al Simmons, Burleigh Grimes, Joe Sewell, and others. Cards have appearance of those which would have graded GD to EX-EX/MT with coloration generally well preserved by years of being shielded from exposure. Ruth shows touch at each corner along with small imperfection at left edge; Gehrig has lightly softened corners and a small impressed line at upper left. It is presumed that they can not be removed without damage to backs. Filled throughout with period newsprint pictures and articles which are neatly arranged. Well cared for with touch of light wear the result of infrequent handling and all interior pages are fully intact (note - many pages have toned in places due to contact with the articles inside): Book EX/MT overall ($2,000-$4,000)Final Bid: $3,000.00
