Description: Nice lot of mostly New York Mets and Yankees related material c.1950s-60s incl. autographs, postcards, yearbooks, and others (Overall range VG-EX/MT) Includes large oversized scrapbook (12"x14.25") which contains numerous 50s to 60s related publication clippings and an assortment of other material incl. (12) Yankees Dormand postcards (Mantle, signed Stengel, Berra, and Rizzuto) and (14) Exhibit postcards (incl. Mays, Nellie Fox, and Monte Irvin). The Casey Stengel Dormand has been signed on front (pencil rating 7 out of 10, glued in, wear to front with tape stains at corners) and Phil Rizzuto has signed on the scrapbook page below his. There are a number of cut (mostly ink) signatures affixed throughout incl. Elston Howard, Yogi Berra, and Don Larsen and (6) others which have fallen out. Covers are separated and interior pages have varying degrees of toning/wear with most having chipping at edges. Some pieces have separated from pages. Please note: some of the postcards are removable, many are not, and there are varying degrees of wear visible to these; material outside of the album includes a rare "Happy Birthday Casey July 30, 1964" orange paper hat with blue trim accent. Handed out at Shea Stadium and extremely scarce with this being the only we can recall having sold. Wear/discoloration at place and a few pieces of tape have been applied to fix at front center; "No Smoking" heavy stock sign (7"x9") which our consignor has relayed he removed from the dugout in Shea Stadium in the 1960s. Tape stains and paper loss at edges; 1962, 63, and 64 New York Mets yearbooks with 1962 being GD-VG with cover wear/creasing, and the 1963 and 64 editions falling closer to EX/MT; rare "They're Our Mets" softbound publication which appears to be vintage c.1960s and has pictures and biographies of 1963 team members; "Meet the Mets" record in original sleeve which pictures Mr. Met and a pair of handbill size/style handouts which list the lyrics; 1963 postmarked "New York Yankees" envelope containing team logo stationary with stamped Roger Maris signature sent in response to a fan letter. Also includes 8"x10" Maris photo premium; (9) Government Postcards, each signed by Yankees player c.1958-59 incl. Enos Slaughter, Camilo Pascual, Bob Grim, Norm Siebern, Jerry Lumpe, Pedro Ramos, Darrell Johnson, and Marv Throneberry; (2) small paper slips, each signed in ink incl. Clint Courtney and Art Ditmar; and "My Greatest Thrill in Baseball" record (no sleeve), Ken MacKenzie signed 1962 NY Mets postcard, 1986 World Series program, a secretarial (non-authentic) Mickey Mantle signature on Government postcard, and secretarial (non-authentic) Casey Stengel ink signature on Mets fan letter.
