Description: "The American National Game of Baseball" large format limited edition aquatint print c.1929 (EX/MT) Fine quality print based on the famed original which was published by Currier & Ives in 1866. This edition is believed to have been done in around 1929 and is hand numbered in pencil, "99/150" and signed by the engraver R.Varin in lower border. Titled in print below engraving and captioned, "Engraved in aquatint by R.Varin..." Condition remains strong overall with some mild toning and a touch of light scattered wear. There is some color tinting evident at places but we believe that some may have faded or it is possible that a portion was never applied.
