Description: "Lone Star" baseball player cabinet card c.1890-1893 (VG-EX) Approx. 4"x6.5" cabinet mounted photograph of a high school aged baseball player in full uniform ("Lone Star" team name across front) posed with ring decorated baseball bat. Sepia toned image is well preserved offering a higher quality clarity/focus and registration than the majority of non-professional player examples we have seen of late. Mount has "Krieg, Brighton Gallery" photographer name at bottom which research indicates was at the address stated from 1890-1893 in Cincinnati, OH. Mount has some general corner/edge wear and extreme lower right corner appears to have chipped off and is glued back in place.
