Description: 1940 Play Ball #1 Joe DiMaggio with exceptional eye appeal displaying at almost NM level (see description) Choice example that displays at near "pack fresh" level. "Wear" is limited to a few minute surface indentations at left edge. Upper right corner has a minute wrinkle toward extreme corner visible under magnification. The card was at one time mounted and has had adhesive remnants professionally removed from back corners which would be largely imperceptible if not mentioned. Lower right back corner has small area which is slightly lighter in color. In the pre-grading days this would have been touted as a NM example: see description ($500-$1,000)Final Bid: $1,320.00
