Description: Spalding Al Dark endorsed advertising display c.1950s with related glove (Overall EX. Glove EX/MT-NM) Period die cut store advertising display features large circular upper portion (measures approx. 16.5" across) having yellow background and "Al Dark say+.Spalding set the pace+" titling. Willard Mullin rendering of Dark at upper left corner and there is a fielding player at lower right. Display is missing a few pieces but we believe it was designed to be free standing (no longer is) and support a baseball glove within base. Presently is displays nicely laid flat with lower flap extending 9.5" below circlular portion. Light edge wear and some scattered surface wear/wrinkling and creases.
