Description: Very fine Athletic Base Ball Club - Champions of 1884 large format print (Displays EX/MT with note to description) Choice early display piece being a large format (approx. 18"x22.5" visible area) printed engraving of a game scene in Philadelphia with player vignettes displayed on a scroll at upper left. Titled within the lower border "Athletic Base Ball Club of Philadelphia, Champions of 1884." Marked by noted area print makers "Gilbert & Bacon" along with "Wells & Hope Co." In fine condition overall for display with professional restoration at areas throughout to reverse what appears to be a separation at center; filling in of some paper loss, reversal of toning/staining, and repair of some tears.
