Description: George Sosnak folk art decorated baseball with Joe Torre illustration and (8) enhanced HOFer signatures c.1972 (EX/MT-NM) Original hand decorated baseball by noted baseball folk artist George Sosnak having a pair of fully decorated panels (through sweetspot aswell) with one having Seal of the State of Florida and other having a likeness of Joe Torre who was then voted Sporting News Player of the Year. Captioned "26th Annual Governors Baseball Dinner March 23, 1972." Signed by Sosnak in print, "To Casey & Doggie Best Wishes From Geo & Winner 1972." There are (18) signatures on the ball (presumably of those in attendance) which have been enhanced by Sosnak in his traditional style incl. Casey Stengel, Bill Terry, Warren Giles, Edd Roush, Jim Bunning, Nestor Chylak, Joe Cronin, Joe Medwick, Harry Carey, and Johnny Vandermeer.
