Description: Billy Southworth's personal 1912 Portsmouth Cobblers felt banner (first year in pro baseball) (EX) 17"x33.5" Felt banner having gray colored background with applied red border and "1912" year. "Portsmouth" has been lettered on angeled red titling strip in similar color as background. Additional length of red felt has been stitched in with bow tied at each end to complete the design. Includes computer printed image of Southworth with the team which bears handwritten details of his breaking into baseball and verifying the provenance of the banner (signed by Southworth's daughter), and printed photo of banner within the display. Little to no wear with exception of a few small moth holes. Mounted to backing as displayed within the Hall of Fame: EX ($500-$1,000)Final Bid: $495.00
