Description: Christy Mathewson vintage photograph with handwritten notation attributed to his wife (EX/MT) Second period press photograph is a printing of a famed Conlan image of Matty with hands raised above head. Photo displays a hint of light toning and is otherwise free of defect with exception being a bit of waviness to paper. "International Newsreel" stampings along with handwritten pencil notation appear on back. A small paper caption on bottom bearing handwritten caption reads "1904 Conlon's first picture of Matty - incidentally his first baseball photo."
