Description: 1909-10 W555 candy card display of (40) cards with (16) Hall of Famers (approx. 60% of known set) (see description for condition) Vintage 8"x10" display being heavy cardboard stock backing with (40) affixed cards as cut from boxes of "Base Ball Snap Shots" product. All are blank backed and postage stamp size with player name and team printed at bottom. There are roughly (69) known subjects/cards with this grouping comprising approx. 60% of a complete set. Notables incl. Cobb, Wagner, Young, Mathewson, Joss, Jennings, Waddell, Nichols, Bender, Collins, Tinker, Evers, McGraw, Chance, Chase, Plank, and Griffith. All mounted to backing and displaying edge/corner wear throughout with those cards on the border understandably having more accentuated wear. We have had (1) card removed professionally to judge ability to do so with the group and can report that it (Birmingham, displayed at upper left in photo) came of with only a bit loss to the lower third.
