Dating is attributed to 1938, 1940, or 1941 as in all other years that Cronin was with the Red Sox there were various sleeve patches and on the offered shirt there are no vestiges of said patches. Obtained by John MacIntyre who was a Boston English High School student. The young man was nicknamed "Big John" and always had to order special oversized uniforms for the baseball team, Cronin learned of this fact and promptly donated one of his uniforms to accomodate the young MacIntyre. The uniform was kept by MacIntyre until his death in 1994 and then willed to Brian Riley who had been like a son to Big John. Also includes a November 18, 1983 Joe Cronin Jimmy Fund Tribute program from the same consignor signed by (12) HOF'ers including Crenin, Mantle, Koufax, Mays, and Gomez.
