Description: Fine 1889 figural baseball trophy with brilliant cut decor. One of the most ornate and handsome trophies that we have handled featuring a handled bulbous cup with full game scene etched on body surrounded by various decor incl. tall ships, flora, and birds. Ball shaped footed base is diamond shaped with etched basepaths and applied ball, support column includes inset pillbox style hat with three ring bats attached to body. Inscribed, "Presented to Frank Haas Homan & Co. Aug. 10, 1889". 8 1/2" tall with one replaced bat and resilvering to the body: EX-MT
