Description: Unique Roosevelt Hotel auto. menu c.1930-50’s. The offered menu belonged to Josephine Onverzu who served as General Manager of the restaurant and bar in the Hotel Roosevelt for many years. The menu has been signed by (27) players mostly with relation to NY Yankees or Brooklyn Dodgers as they frequently visited the Hotel known for its’ extensive selection of liquors. Signers include the follwing: Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Frank Frisch, Jackie Robinson, Roy Campanella, Gil Hodges, Leo Durocher, Walt Alston, and Duke Snider. Many of the signatures are personalized to Josephine as they apparently knew her from frequent trips to the establishment. Signatures rate between 8-10 out of 10 with two spectacular examples of Ruth and Gehrig. Menu itself has some light wear partial spine separation and some vintage tape stains on interior back cover page.
