Description: Rare Vince DiMaggio game worn 1944 Pittsburgh Pirates home uniform. Cream color flannel jersey and pants with red and blue trim, jersey is zipper front with proper Goldsmith tag in collar and DiMaggio 44’ chain stitched in tail. Shirt is fairly clean with only very light age toning, zipper handle is missing but still works. Pants have no mfg. tag with V.DiMaggio chain stitched on applied patch in waist and exhibit light overall wear. Lot also includes a period black leather belt presumably DiMaggio’s as well. Vince was the oldest of the three DiMaggio brothers and played in the Major Leagues for 10 years. This uniform was owned by a gentleman since 1945 and was stored with his high school baseball uniform until hos passing in 1988, it has been consigned by the family of the gentleman: EX
