Description: Fine baseball color tinted tintype c.1870. The finest quality tintype that we’ve handled picturing a player dressed in full uniform including bib front jersey. Victorian script “A” on bib certainly bears strong resemblance to that of the Philadelphia Athletics but we cannot attribute the image with any certainty. Image clarity is remarkable with superb contrast, surface has some crazing in areas which has chipped at two corners and at the rt. edge. 21/2”x4”: VG
