Description: Danny Ainge/Paul Westphal Boston Celtics professional model jersey c.1975-81. Original white knit jersey retains "Celtics" team name in green across the front above "44". Back of the jersey has "Ainge" in green lettering above #44. The team name and both numbers are original to the shirt. The "Ainge" lettering, however, is a team replacement executed atop vestiges of "Westphal" lettering as the jersey was originally worn by Paul Westphal (Celtics 1972-1975). Sand Knit/Medalist tagging appears on the tail front (1970s era) along with "Designed & Tailored Exclusively for the Boston Celtics" tagging. The shirt shows evident use and wash wear while retaining fine original color. Very likely one of the first Boston Celtics jerseys worn by Ainge during his rookie season of 1981. Includes LOA from Hunt Auctions and letter of provenance from the original recipient: EX
