Description: ***UPDATED DESCRIPTION*** Steve O'Donnell boxing cabinet photograph c.1880-90s (not autographed). Mounted 4"x6 1/4" image pictures the Australian heavyweight boxer in a fighting pose. The image quality of the photo is notably bold with four small pinholes at the perimeter from mounting. Marked Coover photography studios in Chicago at the bottom margin. The reverse contains a period notation (not an actual autograph), which reads, "With compliments to Dave from Steve O'Donnell." O'Donnell was one of the premier heavyweight fighters in the world during the late 19th century and was a favored sparring partner of champion Jim Corbett.
