Description: 1946 Louisville Black Colonels broadside. Original 9"x14" paper broadside advertises a game between the Louisville Black Colonels and the Georgetown Athletics baseball teams to be played at Moss Park in Louisville, KY. The poster is blank backed and features a full team photo of the Black Colonels at the center including longtime Negro League player Homer "Goose" Curry. Interestingly, the poster reads at the bottom, "Equipped with Louisville Colonel uniforms of the American Association and travel in own bus". Condition is very fine with minimal age/handling wear. Includes letter of provenance from the Mitchell family: EX-MT
