Description: 1946 Louisville Black Colonels broadside. Original 9"x14" paper broadside advertises a game between the Louisville Black Colonels and the Georgetown Athletics baseball teams to be played at Moss Park in Louisville, KY. The poster is blank backed and pictures the Colonels right fielder A.D. Lewis in the center. Both teams' player lineups are printed to either side of the photo including longtime Negro League player Homer "Goose" Curry for the Colonels. Condition is very fine with some light fold lines at the center left border. Includes letter of provenance from the Mitchell family: EX
