Description: Scarce 1945 Willie "Schoolboy" Rowe Pittsburgh Crawfords trade card. Previously undiscovered original trade card was issued as a promotional advertisement for Gus Greenlee's Pittsburgh Crawfords baseball team. Thin stock cardboard card measures 4"x6 1/4" picturing Crawfords' pitcher Willie "Schoolboy" Rowe on the front. The reverse features a pre-printed advertisement for a game played between the Crawfords and Bingo DeMoss' Chicago Brown Bombers. Overall condition is very strong with minimal evident handling wear and a small period ink notation on the back left corner. Includes letter of provenance from the Mitchell family: SGC 30 GD
