Description: New York Cubans team photograph c.1943. Beautiful sepia tone 8"x10" image pictures the New York Cubans baseball team posed in full uniform. Players include Barnhill, Tiant, Coimbre, Brooks, and Martinez. Condition is outstanding with original contrast and clarity intact. Small period identification label is affixed to the reverse. The Cubans were a fine team of the 1930-40s era capturing a Negro League World Series Championship over the Cleveland Buckeyes. Includes letter of provenance from the Mitchell family: EX-MT
