Description: 1972 Chicago Cougars WHA sweater and pants. White dureen sweater with green and yellow striping features embroidered Cougars logo on chest. Player number 12 is stitched on the upper left breast, both sleeves and back. Nameplate has been removed from back. Rawlings manufacturer's tag appears on the inside back tail noting size "44". An adjacent tag reads, "Gunzo's River Forest, Ill.". Sweater shows extensive use including multiple team repairs, small scattered holes and minor staining. Accompanying the sweater is a pair of matching nylon pants. Fully padded pants feature "Winn Well" manufacturer's tagging on the interior with two flag tags noting size "40". Pants show solid usage wear including board burns, staining and some rusting on the strap buttons. A pair of well used matching wool hockey socks also accompanies.
