Description: Babe Ruth auto. baseball c.1933. Toned and clear coated Spalding "Babe Ruth Home Run Special" model baseball is signed across the sweet spot by Ruth in black fountain pen. Signature remains very bold rating 7/8 out of 10. The ball was once affixed to a presentational ink blotter as evidenced by the remnants of a small mounting hole under the ball. Additionally, the ball is inscribed in period ink, "World Series 1933 Giants vs. Washington" as was frequently done by Ruth's agent Christy Walsh to be given out as a gift. The three side panels show vestiges of other player signatures that were once present with surface abrasions now visible. Includes LOA from JSA: Ball: Range GD-VG/EX, Ruth signature: EX/MT-NM
