Description: John Elway Denver Broncos professional model jersey c.1983-88. Notable example from one of the greatest quarterbacks in NFL history retains its original "7" on both front and back and "Elway" nameplate affixed to the reverse. Russell Athletic tagging remains attached to the tail front along with size 46 tagging and "100% Nylon" flag tag. Both sleeves also display the original uniform number "7" in white with blue trim. The jersey itself exhibits superb use inclusive of several period team repairs, 'checking' to the surfaces of the numerals and period staining which appears to be blood. The nameplate appropriately presents as a bit cleaner than the jersey as they were frequently updated by the team as opposed to replacing the entire jersey during that time period. It is our belief the name plate was in fact replaced during game use by the team. One of the most desirable and elusive HOF player jerseys from the 1980s , it was was acquired by the consignor in the period and is being offered publicly for the first time.
