Description: Vic Janowicz professional model baseball bat c.1953-54. Janowicz was a multi-sport star whose most notable athletic achievement came as a member of the Ohio State Buckeyes football team in 1950 when he became the third junior to win the Heisman Trophy. After a stint in the service, Janowicz signed with the Pittsburgh Pirates as a catcher for 1953 and '54. This Louisville Slugger pro model bat measures 34 ¼” and features Janowicz’s name in block letters on the barrel. The knob is stamped “S2” and a faint number “31” is written in black marker.
