Description: 1931 Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig barnstorming photo. Matted and framed 7"x9” photograph pictures Ruth wearing the uniform of "Babe Ruth's Universal Stars," a barnstorming club formed by his agent Christy Walsh to promote the Bambino's film career in the early days of the Great Depression. The Babe is posing with teammate Lou Gehrig in his Yankees road uniform along with Walsh’s son, Christy Walsh Jr. The image has slightly uneven edges from being trimmed down and it has been adhered to an album page (not visible under matting). Writing at the bottom of the page identifies the subjects and notes the date “Oct. 1931”: EX-MT (With note to trimming)
