Description: Group of (18) vintage baseball photographs attributed to Charles Conlon c.1920s. Significant group of photos demonstrating fine clarity, image quality and attention to detail in a manner typical of Conlon's work. Fourteen of the black and white images measure “6x8” with four smaller. Four of the 6”x8” images have Conlon’s stamp on reverse inclusive of Yankees players Pipgras, Thomas, Gazella and Dugan. Other Yankees players in the group include Cohen, Shocker, Ruether, Fletcher and Giard. Pirates players represented include Gooch, Meadows (2), Hill, Miljus, Aldridge and Wright. Others include Cardinals players O’Farrell and Bell. All photos have player names identified in pencil on the reverse. Most backs have varying degrees of paper/glue residue from scrapbook removal. Fronts appear predominantly EX-MT with the exception of Dugan and Gazella (VG-EX). Includes letter of provenance from the Collins family: Range: VG/EX-EX
