Description: Lou Gehrig auto. photograph c.1938. Matted and framed 10"x13" image pictures the "Iron Horse" seated upon an actual horse together with three individuals including Yankees owner, Jacob Ruppert, and manager Joe McCarthy. The photo was likely taken during the 1938 filming of "Rawhide" in which Gehrig played the starring role. Gehrig has inscribed the photo "To Ed - My Kindest Personal Regards, Lou Gehrig" in the upper left area rating 5/6 out of 10. McCarthy has signed the opposite side of the image, "To Ed - Sincerely Joe McCarthy" rating 8 out of 10, and Ruppert has added his signature and salutation below rating 7 out of 10.
