Description: Thurman Munson gold and diamond wristwatch c.1970s. Fine quality men's wristwatch by Mathey-Tissot once belonging to Thurman Munson. 14K gold watch features and intertwined mesh style 14K gold band with ornate dial watch casing. A set of (30) individual diamonds encircles the watch dial each of which is of approx. 1.5 carat weight. The reverse of the watch is marked, "MT 14K". The watch retains its original hinged lid casing and owner's manual. Mathey-Tissot crafted watches are extraordinary in quality with the offered example bearing significance as having belonged to Thurman Munson. Includes letter of provenance from Diana Munson: NM
