Description: 2004 Boston Red Sox World Series ring. Highly ornate 18K gold ring presented to a Boston Red Sox operations employee in honor of the historic 2004 Red Sox World Championship. The ring is of exceptional quality with the top panel featuring a "B" logo at the center of (10) rubies with several diamond chips inset into the openwork areas of the "B". A field of blue sapphire stones provides a dramatic background for the center panel which also includes (10) small inlaid diamonds. "World Champions" printed in raised gold lettering encircles the center panel. One side panel features "Greatest Comeback in History 2004" in raised lettering positioned above a red enamelwork Red Sox logo. The other side panel has "Reyes-Nunez" lettering at the top and "BB OPS" at the bottom indicating the name/position of the recipient. Inscribed on the interior ring band, "86 Years 10-27-04" and "Jostens 18K". Size 10. The ring is accompanied by its original hinged lid mahogany box with "2004 World Champions" etched onto the glass top. The 2004 Red Sox team finally vanquished the Curse of the Bambino riding the momentum from a monumental ALCS comeback victory over the New York Yankees in order to capture their first World Championship since 1918.
