Description: 1929 Phila. Athletics team auto. panoramic photograph. Matted and framed 7"x30" sepia tone image picturing the World Champion 1929 Athletics standing in a row at Shibe Park. Each player has signed his respective image including Foxx, Collins, Simmons, Cochrane, Grove, and Mack. The signatures themselves have been delicately traced over in black fountain pen in the period. Although enhanced, the autographs present nicely and in many cases the enhancements are only visible upon very close inspection. The image itself retains excellent contrast with only a few minor areas of surface imperfections. The photo remains housed in its original matting and frame and is identified in period ink on the matting, "Presented to Billy Fox by Connie Mack and his World Champions". The matting has some areas of heavy staining and a few splits. Affordable exemplar of a tough and desirable World Championship signed image.
