According to family history, the hat (and a pair of pants which are not included in the lot) were acquired during one of the 1962 World Series games played between the Giants and Yankees. Fine period Mays professional model game hat with direct provenance. Includes letter of provenance from a representative of the Torres family along with numerous photographic copies documenting Torres' employment within the sports media: VG-EX
