Description: Significant Indianapolis Clowns player ledger book with related Hank Aaron autographed paycheck voucher c.1952. Hard cover ledger book from the 1952 Ind. Clowns includes an entry page for a young 18 year old prospect by the name of Henry Aaron. The page includes entries for Aaron's pay during the months of May and June with an interesting entry that reads, "Sold to Boston". Along with the ledger is a typed voucher for Aaron's paycheck with deductions which is signed at the bottom in blue ink, "Henry Aaron". Signature rates 9 out of 10. The paper itself has a corner chip at the top left. Hank Aaron was signed by the Clowns to play shortstop in 1952 for $200 per month. The offered signed voucher (along with the other Aaron signed voucher in this auction) may well represent the earliest known Hank Aaron autographed pieces with baseball relation. Fine Negro League and Major League related item of historical significance. Includes LOA from JSA and letter of provenance from the Pollock family: Range VG-NM
