Description: Joe L.Brown's 1971 Pittsburgh Pirates World Series trophy. Original figural trophy presented to Joe L. Brown as the general manager of the 1971 World Champion Pittsburgh Pirates. High quality figural trophy stands 12" tall featuring brass pennants with team names around the perimeter of a large brass circle with a crown finial. "World Champions Pittsburgh Pirates 1960" appears in black lettering on the front. Remaining very clean with only minimal age toning, the trophy also retains its original Balfour manufacturer label on the base. Seldom are trophies of this type and quality from the general manager of the team offered for public sale. 1971 Pirates trophies are notably rare as issued for the Pirates World Series victory over the Balt.
