Description:"Louisville Eclipse" model baseball bat c.1880-1900. Rare and unusual hand turned bat measures 32" long with an acorn style knob termination. Hand stenciled "Louisville Eclipse" lettering is found within a circular 'log' near the center area of the bat. The bat was recently discovered within a Tennessee area estate. The Louisville Eclipse was an American Association team that played from 1882-84. It is unclear, however, if the bat was titled in reference to the 1880s Louisville Eclipse team: VG-EX
