Description: 19th century baseball bat with red ring painted decoration c.1870-80s. Elongated 38" handmade baseball bat with acorn knob termination and period black linen handle tape. The end of the barrel displays a red painted ring measuring 1" wide. The knob has a crack in the center which appears to run a short distance under the handle tape. Great eye appeal on this early handmade bat remaining in as found condition: EX
